Childcare Executive

Diane has many years experience with young children. She has four children of her own, and five (soon to be 6) grandchildren. She was a registered childminder in the area for six years, working with children from a few months to twelve years; prior to her appointment with Jack and Jill.

Diane first became involved with the setting when her own children attended and was a founder member of Jack and Jill when the owner retired and gave the group over to a committee in July 1994. Working on the committee as secretary until 1996 Diane then became a member of the staff team.

In October 1996 she began her Diploma in Pre-school practice and passed with merit in March 1998. She then put her training into practice developing the setting and it's practices.

Diane has since completed level Higher Diploma (Open) in child care and child psychology and continues to develop her knowledge and skills.

 

 

Catering Manager / Childcare Practitioner

Joanne lives in Horsham with her husband and two children. She previously worked in the kitchens at Farlington School, cooking and serving meals for the pupils. Joanne is now qualified in childcare at level 3 and holds a diploma in food production and cooking.

She thoroughly enjoyed attending the Jamie Oliver Community Cookery School and receiving her certificate.  

 

Pre-school Manager

Nikki has 20years childcare experience. She has a NVQ 3 in childcare, a level 2 Teaching Assistant Diploma and a level 4 SEN Diploma. Nikki lives in Horsham with her two children, she loves working with children and knows how important the early stage of learning is, finding her involvement with this stage of development extremely rewarding.

 

 

Barbra is a senior childcare practitioner. Before joining Jack and Jill I September 2017 Barbra worked as a primary school teaching assistant for 5 years, working with children 30 months to 5 years. Barbra loves to support the children to learn through play. She loves to fully engage with the children, whether it be through joining them in role-play, helping to write their names, playing instruments, building train tracks or making mud pies in the mud kitchen, she loves it all! Barbra has her level 3 childcare qualification.

 

 

Chantal joined the team in May 2023. She has four children who have all attended Jack and Jill. She has thoroughly enjoys getting to know the children and has completed her level 3. She is currently involved in leadership training. 

 

Andrea joined the team in September 2023, she lives locally and is mum to two children. Her focus is to care for children's physical and emotional needs as well as supporting their education and learning of new skills. 

She enjoys doing arts and crafts and loves helping children explore their creative side. Andrea feels the best part of the job is the smile the children bring to her face every day. 

 

Abi has been part of the team for a couple of years now and has completed her level 3 training. She lives locally and is mum to 3 children. She is enjoying supporting the children through books and loves to engage them in group time activities.

 

Emma returned to childcare last year having been a full time mum for a couple of years. She is level 3 qualified and has really enjoyed working with our youngest children, particularly supporting their language and communication development.
